The Value of Restorative Dentistry
The sooner you get treatment for a damaged tooth, the better your outcome will be. You may be able to save your tooth, avoid complications, and save money by preventing more complex and expensive dental treatments.
We also want to help you get relief from any pain or discomfort you may be experiencing. It’s important to contact our team at The Ivory as soon as possible if you need restorative care.
Our Membership for Our Restorative Dentistry Services
Dr. Sweeney and her team offer a full lineup of restorative dentistry services. Whether you need crowns, fillings, dental bonding, or even dentures, we have you covered.
If you’re looking to get ready for a cosmetic makeover, we may first recommend restorative dentistry, depending on your needs.
If your teeth have become weak and are vulnerable to damage, a dental crown is a valuable layer of protection and can also help restore esthetic disruptions in your smile from damage or decay.
Dental crowns can be ideal for restoring severely damaged teeth. We use high-quality, lab-made crowns built from porcelain. These tooth-shaped dental prostheses cover up and protect your entire tooth all the way down to your gums, essentially replacing it and protecting the remaining natural tooth from damage so you can eat on your tooth worry-free.
If you have a cavity or damaged tooth, dental fillings can help restore your tooth’s structure and function, all while blending in with your natural tooth.
At The Ivory Dental Co., we exclusively use composite resin-tooth-colored fillings. Composite fillings last for an average of 5–7 years, though there are many documented cases of these fillings lasting for longer than 10 years with proper care. These fillings wear away faster in the molars compared to the front teeth.
Prior to your filling, we will numb your mouth with a local anesthetic for a comfortable experience.
Dental bridges use 2 crowns that attach to healthy teeth in your mouth and hold 1 or more false teeth in place in the gap where your teeth used to be. Compared to partial dentures, they last longer, look more natural, and are easier to care for, but they may require 2 healthy teeth to be trimmed.
Dr. Sweeney can help you determine which treatment may be right for you.
Dental bonding can help with cracked or chipped teeth or even improve shade and shape. We’re passionate about all things oral health, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions or concerns you may have.
We Also Offer Dentures
Dentures can be a convenient way to replace your missing teeth. The 2 most common types of dentures are known as full dentures and partial dentures.
Full dentures replace all of your teeth at once. They are used when you’ve lost most or all of your teeth already since they require any remaining teeth to be pulled.
Partial dentures can replace one or multiple missing teeth. They attach your existing teeth using metal clips, which hold a framework that supports one or more false teeth.
