Your Invisalign treatment begins with a consultation. Dr. Sweeney will assess your orthodontic needs and determine the suitability of Invisalign for you. She’ll capture a 3D scan of your teeth, unveiling a preview of your future smile.
Once approved for treatment, Dr. Sweeney will use the 3D scan to customize your first sets of aligners.
After a few weeks, it’s time to collect your initial 12 aligners and receive instructions on how to wear them. Then, you’ll head home to begin your treatment.
Each set of aligners is worn for 22 hours a day for about a week. Then, you’ll transition to a new set of aligners, like flipping the page of a weekly calendar. Every switch takes you closer to your dream smile.
Every 3 months, you’ll return to The Ivory Dental Co. in East Amherst. During this checkup, Dr. Sweeney will assess your progress and provide you with your next set of Invisalign aligners.
Even after completing your treatment, we’ll always be delighted to have you back for regular dental exams and preventive care.
